On July 28, 2012, CAFE hosted the second in a series of basebuilding forums focused on expanding the capacity of local grassroots environmental groups. This forum series consisted of two sessions, the first on running effective meetings, facilitated by Susan Shaw, executive director of the North Bay Organizing Project, and the second on non-profit board development, facilitated by Christopher Szecsey, non-profit development consultant. The forum was an outstanding success. A this particular forum, over 50 people were in attendance, representing more than 25 organizations. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. A few comments were:     "Excellent! This couldn’t have come at a better time."     "I really liked the interaction between the group, and the level of engagement."     "Very good session and trainer. Appreciated the inclusion of emotional content & relationship building." Going forward, CAFE is committed to building powerful relationships between groups in the environmental community. Look for more forums, trainings and networking sessions to come! If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Annie at 707-480-2315 or via email.
